Why another tuning tool

Random registry scripts and one-click “boost” promises don't tell you what actually helped.

Copied tweak packs and mystery batch files change a lot of settings at once, with no record of what you started from and no way to know which change did anything. Pluto's Tweaker applies one intentional change at a time, and measures the result — so you keep what works and revert what doesn't.

What it does

Built around measurement, not promises

Every card below reflects a feature that's actually implemented — not a roadmap item.

Guided A/B Testing

Know which setting actually helped, instead of guessing.

Run the same scenario through Baseline → Safe → Competitive (and an optional Aggressive) stage. Pluto's Tweaker only calls a stage a winner when its measured margin clears your own run-to-run variance — otherwise it says inconclusive rather than overclaim.

Performance Session Reports

See real frame-time data from your own PC, not an estimate.

Session reports are built from a PresentMon capture (via the official, separately-installed PresentMon tool) plus your hardware and network snapshot — the limiting factor and background-app notes are grounded in what was actually measured on your machine.

Competitive Scan

A one-click baseline you can compare against later.

Captures a system and network snapshot alongside a PresentMon run and saves it to a local benchmark history, so you have something concrete to compare the next run against.

Game Session Mode

Your game gets scheduling priority while you're actually playing.

Watches for your game process to start, de-prioritizes the background apps competing with it, and can raise the game's own process priority — then reverts everything automatically when the game exits.

Game Launch Center

One click to launch, instead of remembering the setup step.

Launches supported Epic Games Store titles — including Fortnite — with your session tweaks already wired in. It never modifies game files and never touches anti-cheat.

Recommendations & rollback

See the tradeoff before you touch anything, and undo it after.

Every tweak shows current state, proposed state, expected impact, and risk level up front. Restore All reverts to the captured baseline at any time — and stays available even if your license has lapsed.

The workflow

Scan. Apply. Test. Decide.

01

Scan

Pluto's Tweaker reads your current setup — no admin rights needed, nothing changes yet.

02

Apply

Choose controlled changes with plain-language explanations. Elevation is requested only for that action, not for browsing.

03

Test

Run the same game scenario and capture real frame-time data with the Guided A/B Tester or a Performance Session Report.

04

Decide

Keep what measurably helped. Revert what didn't — Restore All works in every license state, not just an active one.

Measure the change. Compare the run. Keep it — or roll it back.

Grounded in real capture

Frame-time data from your own PC, not a marketing number

  • Frame-time capture via PresentMon, launched only in its documented headless mode — never an arbitrary command.
  • Baseline-vs-after comparison, so you can see what a specific change did on your own hardware.
  • A conservative statistical bar in the A/B Tester — it reports “inconclusive” rather than declare a winner from noise.

Results vary by hardware, game, and network — Pluto's Tweaker shows you what changed on your own PC rather than promising a universal number.

Safety & control

What actually protects your system

Stated plainly, including what this doesn't do — see the full Security architecture page for the complete picture.

Baseline captured first

The original value is recorded before any reversible change is applied — restore never depends on guessing a default.

History, Logs & Export always on

These, along with Restore All, remain available in every license state — even expired, invalid, or absent.

Elevation only when needed

Pluto's Tweaker runs unelevated by default. A standard Windows UAC prompt appears only at the moment you apply a tweak that requires it.

Seven closed operation types

Every mutation is one of a fixed, reviewed shape — registry value, service state, power setting, DNS, process priority, repair, or cleanup. No arbitrary command execution.

Optional System Restore points

Pluto's Tweaker can also create a genuine Windows System Restore checkpoint through the OS's own API, separate from its own per-tweak backups.

Residual risk, stated honestly

This build has not had an external security audit or penetration test, and elevation runs in the same process as the rest of the app rather than an isolated helper — a documented, deliberate tradeoff for this release.

System changes carry risk

No software — this one included — can guarantee nothing will ever go wrong. Save your work, follow the in-app guidance, and keep your own independent backups (a system restore point or full image) for anything you can't afford to lose, especially during this release-candidate phase. See Security architecture and Recovery & Restore for the complete picture.
